This is Carlos Morales, Publisher of THE VOICE NEWSPAPER and Co-Founder of the EASTSIDE BIKE CLUB.

I am glad to see that you are back on your feet. Life is strange and sometimes we must pay attention to wake up calls. It seems by your log that you have.

Please take this invitation to join the EASTSIDE BIKE CLUB and ride with fellow community members. The main reason I started this club was to help me lose weight after Gastric Bypass Surgery I had in February 2008.

The bike riding has helped me lose 180 LBS!
I feel great, No diabetes, No high blood sugar levels, No sleep apnea, and No meds.
Community members have come from El Sereno, Hazard Park, Ramona Gardens, Hermon, Highland Park, Lincoln Heights, Boyle Heights, South Pasadena, Pasadena, Silverlake, Echo Park, Rosemead, Monterey Park, and other places that I do not remember right now.

They ride with us for various reasons, some to lose weight, some to socialize, some to get their exercise in, others to explore the community from a bikes point of view. Anyway we have a good time and meet some great people.

Please consider this invitation and come out to explore what the simple pleasure of a ride can do, if you don’t have a bike we will lend you one, if you don’t have a helmet, we can lend you one thanks to two nieghborhood organizations; Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council and The Friends of Hazard Park organization.

Call me at 323.221.7400 or email me at Hope you take me up on it!

Oh, Jesus, Eddie. I look at you and you're skinny and you jump around on stage with youthful agility and then you say you've got to eat right and exercise? I must outweigh you by 50 pounds. If this happened to someone like you I'm opening the little windows on my little nativity calendar now.
