So this is how it goes, I think. You struggle into work, bleary-eyed and nothing but a full day of work staring you hard in the face. You check your e-mail accordingly ("No thanks," "Not him/her again!," "I'm saving that one...."), and then you think, "What's that GuyinTheWorld guy up to?" Well, maybe you don't, but now you have.

You sip your coffee, you go somewhere, and then you're back at work. Just like that.

Last week, Paris. This week, you're standing, precariously clinging to the rail of a San Francisco cable on the Powell/Market line through the city to Fisherman's Wharf, and you're thinking, "That just saved me five bucks." Actually, you're thinking, "I'd so rather be there. With that guy."

Two Days in Paris, 2009

There were a lot of reasons why this video never got posted last year. Suffice to say c'était alors, ceci est maintenant, and things are a little bit better now. So, before my world collapsed, I spent two days in Paris, looking at this and looking at that. It was only two days, and then somehow I had to make my way to Perugia, Italy, before heading back to France again. I'll tell the long version of the story here someday, but not now.

Yes, Astronauts, It's been a little while. Um, I moved-ish. I got a new job. I went here. I went there. I took my guitar and some friends to Laguna Beach, and it looked and sounded like this....

Was it Ferris Bueller who said, "Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss something"? Maybe it was Enrico Fermi, or Fernando Valenzuela. Whichever. So l left the office the other day, walked four blocks and came back with nearly 200 photographs. Go.
